The 33rd Hot Spring Harbor International Symposium
On Oct. 29 (Tue) and Oct. 30 (Wed), 2024, the 33rd Hot Spring Harbor International Symposium — Cutting Edge Research and Technology in Stem Cells and Reprogramming — was held at Collaborative Station-I, Hospital Campus, Kyushu University. This event was hosted by Kyushu university, with co-sponsorship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, JAPAN’s “4D System Development and Regeneration Science Initiative”, “Medical Research Center Initiative for High Depth Omics”, and “Multilevel Biodefense System Research Center”.
This year, we welcomed five speakers from overseas and twelve from within Japan, who delivered lectures on the latest research in stem cells and reprogramming. Additionally, Short Talk Sessions were held by fourteen researchers from our institute.
With active discussions among a diverse audience, including graduate students and participants from inside and outside the university, the symposium proved to be a valuable opportunity for knowledge sharing and the initiation of new collaborations. The invited speakers from abroad also highly praised the high standards and vibrancy of Japanese research, especially at Kyushu University.
Approximately 200 people attended, and the symposium concluded successfully. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to its success.
