The 25th MIB retreat
The 25th retreat was held on June 28, 2023, for training and fellowship for all faculty and students belonging to the Medical Institute of Bioregulation. Considering the joining of six new PIs this year, the event was held at the Maidashi Hospital campus with approximately 140 participants. Oral presentations of 20 subjects were held at the Centennial Hall, including the introductions of six new laboratories and the one of the support activities by the Research Promotion Unit. Same as the last year, both Japanese and English are allowed to use for presentation. There was an atmosphere in which the participants could easily participate in the discussions, by smoothly switching language during the Q&A session. After a get-together and dinner session at the Central Hall, 29 poster presentations were held at the community lounge of Collaboration Station II. On the morning of June 29, awards (Oral, Poster, Discusser) were presented to awardees by the director of MIB. In the afternoon, nearly half of the participants looked forward to playing softball, but we had to cancel the sports event due to bad weather. However, in response to strong requests, the scaled-down matches were held by volunteers.
