Prof. Makoto Tachibana receives the 2026 Kihara Prize of the Genetics Society of Japan!

Prof. Makoto Tachibana (Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences, Osaka University), leader of the EPICODE research area, has received the 2026 Kihara Prize of the Genetics Society of Japan.

The prize recognizes outstanding achievements in genetics. Prof. Tachibana was honored for his research on the structure of mammalian sex-determining genes and their epigenomic regulation.
