|場所||馬出医学系キャンパス内 総合研究棟 セミナー室 １０５
These are two fundamental questions in modern scientific research and both are being researched in the Heddle Lab. In this presentation I will briefly mention our progress in designing and producing nanostructures from DNA and protein. I will then concentrate on our more recent work in which we propose a new hypothesis for aging known as “Senemorphic Aging”. Evidence for the hypothesis will be explained in the context of evolutionary theory and biochemical experiments to test the theory that are now being carried out will be briefly covered.
- What is aging? Why do we age and is it a disease that can be “cured”?
- Can we control matter at the molecular level to build bespoke structures including nanomachines and smart drugs?
